The First Day Of Fall

In my twenty-four years of life, I’ve never made a pumpkin pie! That needed to change, and what better way to celebrate the first day of fall than to take the plunge into pie baking? My friend Natalie came over yesterday, and we made four pies.

Natalie taught me how to make my own pie crusts.

I had so much fun baking the pumpkin pies that this might just become a new tradition.

Do you have any Fall traditions?

  1. Pumpkin anything is my favorite fall food, but pumpkin pie definitely ranks at #1. Way to go at making your own crust – that’s pretty ambitious for your first try! (I found your blog through my son, who is a student of Mark’s. I missed meeting you at the back-to-school picnic – I understand we are expecting babies very close together. We have a girl due on Nov. 15. Look forward to meeting you soon!)

    • Thanks for checking out my blog. Mark really enjoys having Drew in class. That is so exciting about your new baby. We are due the 15th as well, but are expecting a boy. I hope we can meet soon 🙂
