Prayer Requests

Welcome to the Prayer Requests part of the blog! I am so excited to be able to partner with you in prayer, and I can’t wait to see how God answers our prayers. I update this page at the beginning of every month so be sure to send me your new prayer requests and praises.

  1. You can email prayer requests and praises on my Contact Page.
  2. Or leave me a comment.

Jesus has recently been moving in my heart to pray. I desperately want to see Him move in hearts and in lives. I love the post my husband, Mark, wrote on prayer. In his post he talked about George Mueller recording over 30,000 answers to prayer. I want to document God’s faithfulness like Mueller did. And maybe one day I’ll see 30,000 answers to prayer. Would you join me in praying?

  1. You or your situation will be covered in prayer by me and other readers.
  2. God is glorified when He answers our prayers, so when we submit our prayer requests to Him in order that He will be glorified, He answers us.
  3. We will be documenting God’s faithfulness as He answers our prayers.

  1. Pray according to the will of God. (The Word of God).
  2. Know who you are talking to. Pray to our good Father. He knows how to give good gifts (James 1:17; John 14:13-14).
  3. Pray with faith and believe in the power and willingness of God to answer our prayers (cf. Mark 11:24.)
  4. Pray with patience. We must be willing to patiently wait until the “yes” answer is received.

I am praying to the God who gives wisdom generously (James 1:5). I am seeking the one who disciplines me as a son (Heb. 12:7). I am praying to the God who is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrew 13:8). I am praying to the one who gives every good gift and who is the Father of lights. One in whom there is no variation or shadow due to change (James 1:17). I am offering my plea to one who of his own will brought me forth by the word of truth (James 1:18). I am praying to a God who gives me understanding through His Spirit (1 Cor. 2 12). I am coming before the Father of mercies and God of all comfort (2 Cor. 1:3). I am praying to the one who has grace that is sufficient for me, whose power is made perfect in my weakness (2 Cor. 12:9). For where I am weak He is strong (2 Cor. 12:10b). I am looking to Jesus who is the founder and perfecter of my faith, the one, who, for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising shame, and who is seated at the right hand of the throne of God (Heb. 12:2). I am praying to the God of my salvation!

One of my biggest desires is that the Gospel would go forth. I want people to know Jesus and be set free from sin. I want people to have hope and experience true joy. I want souls ransomed. I want names written in the Lamb’s book of life. So I’ll pray for salvation…

  2. I just saw this page…I love it! I have a prayer request for the salvation of my two sisters Mary and Anne. Thanks for doing this, Ashley!

  3. I have a prayer request for two male students who do not get along because of a girlfriend issue. One is very hostile, deceitful, and full of resentment; the other is easy going and laid back. By random drawing at the request of the class, I was forming groups for a project and they ended up in the same group. Having simply switched seats earlier to avoid the problem, I decided to see if they could address the problem and work through it this time, so I talked to them after class about whether they were willing to try to work well together. Both said that they wanted to, but history suggests that the aggressive one may make the laidback one miserable in sneaky little ways. Please pray that they could see a true spiritual breakthrough in this, and that I would have good perception and wisdom to recognize if I need to intervene. The girlfriend is in a panic about the group, and I’m pretty anxious myself.

  4. Darlene is having surgery today at noon (3/2/12) to determine if she has cancer or not. They took 5 Liters of fluid out of her abdomen on Wednesday which showed cancerous cells. However, endometriosis cells could present as cancer cells so there is still hope that this is NOT cancer. Continue to pray for her and for peace for my family, especially my father. We are also not sure about her salvation. We were raised in the catholic church and she is catholic. My father tried to talk to her yesterday but her husband is against Christianity and you could see the struggle in my sister b/t her father and her husband.

  6. I love this! I have a friend to add to the waiting for a baby section. Her name is Cris and she and her husband are waiting for their second baby.

  7. I have an ANSWERED PRAYER!! My friend Cris (waiting for a baby) is now 8 weeks pregnant with a long-awaited second child! Praise God!

  8. Ashley thank you for your prayers and keeping me on your list. It means so much. It is an encouragement to see how that list changes as God breaks through. I know that He can do the ‘impossible’ and I so appreciate your prayers as I wait. Your sweet momma sent me in the direction of your prayer page and told me that I was on your list. It just blew me away. Thank you my precious sister in Christ xx

    • Emma, the Lord has brought you to mind several times over the past few months, and I am crying out for you! We serve a faithful God who can do what seems impossible to us. I love having the privilege of praying for you!
